Texas Winners at the 2023 Autumn Grand

We are pleased to announce the following Texas shooters won and/or tied for wins at the 2023 Autumn Grand held Nov 1 thru 12 at Tucson Trap & Skeet Club, in Tucson AZ! Texas had 44 shooters attending the event.
Sue Hopper made a strong comeback with high scores after her 5 month absence from competition shooting. We are all very happy to have you shooting with us again Sue!
Ronnie Beard took time out from his "2023 Tour Of The West" that coincided with the 2023 Autumn Grand and was very successful on the first and only day he competed in the event!
Fun Times at the TX Zone II Shoot in El Paso!

Shooters had fun this past weekend at the Zone Shoot in El Paso, TX with the following shooters winning the Blind Draw event.

- 3rd Place Richard Leos & Jake Hamm - Score 81
Zone II hosted the 1st Annual TX vs NM Challenge with TX winning the travelling trophy! Team Texas - Dalton Jennings, Drew Fryman, Darin Clawson, Billy Hopson & Jake Hamm were on Team Texas.

Dalton began shooting in the second grade, his dad would help him hold up a Remington 1100 while he shot at 3-liter bottles. Later, he would go to turkey shoots and that really got him hooked on shotguns. He would continue on and receive numerous Texas State titles including
- Singles Champion 2009,2012,2017, 2018
- Handicap Champion 2015
- Doubles Champion 2012 and 2020
- High All Around in 2012 (state record of 398), 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2020
- He won High Over All in consecutive years from 2012-2016 and then in 2019 and 2020.
He earned a spot on the Men’s State Second Team in 2009 and has been Men’s First Team Captain for the past 12 years (2012-2023).
At the Grand American, he was Champion of Champions Champion in 2012 and runner up in the 2016 Clay Target Championship. He has received numerous other trophies at the Grand, in other states, and at South-West Zone shoots and Satellite Grands.
He received his AA27AA pin in 2012, his AAA27AAA pin in 2021 and completed his Grand Slam (#514) on September 19, 2021.
Besides his shooting accomplishments, Dalton has held Zone offices and has also served the Texas Trapshooter’s Association as an officer and volunteered to serve two consecutive years as President in 2016 and 2017.
