Congratulations to Jeff Renegar TTA Hall of Fame Inductee

Jeff began shooting shotguns at age eight in Levelland, Texas. He started competing in turkey shoots at age ten and shot in his first registered ATA shoot in 1994 at the Texas State Shoot in Amarillo, Texas. He won his first trap award at a 4-H shoot in 1995 at South Plains Gun Club. In 1997, he held the highest handicap average by a Junior or Sub-Junior with a minimum of 1500 targets.
Some of his accomplishments include five Texas State titles:
- Handicap Champion 2014
- High All- Around 2015
- Singles Champion in 2016
- High Over All in 2017 and 2018.
Jeff has been on the Texas Men’s First Team the past eight years (2016 to 2023).
At the Grand American, he was the 2016 Zone Team Race Team Champion and placed third in AAA class in Downrange Mfg Class Doubles in 2018.
He has received numerous other trophies at the Texas State Shoot, Texas zone shoots, as well as at other state shoots, South-West Zone shoots and Satellite Grands.
He received his AA27AA pin in 2017, his AAA27AAA pin in 2018 and completed his Grand Slam (#494) at the Grand American on August 8, 2018.
Jeff has served as Zone 1 President as well as a target setter for the Texas State Shoot.

The 2023 Bair Hatcher Memorial Shoot held at Ft Worth Skeet & Trap Club Oct 8-10 was a huge success with shooters coming from Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi, Tennessee, Nebraska & Oklahoma.

2024 ATA All Americans From Texas

The following 10 Texas shooters made the 2024 All American Trapshooting Team! They competed against the best shooters from every state in the country. They travelled across the entire USA and shot in all the elements that nature could throw at them including extreme heat, howling wind, torrential rain, freezing sleet and even snow. Congratulations on your achievement, dedication to the sport and comaraderie towards your fellow shooters!

2023 Grand American Trophy Winners Report

There were a total of 3,047 shooters from all over the USA and also from Canada, Australia, Brazil, England, New Zealand and South Africa at the 2023 ATA Grand American World Trapshooting Championships held August 2nd to 12th, 2023 at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex in Sparta, IL.
Texas was well represented by 79 shooters attending the AIM Grand and the Grand American. Between them they brought home a total of 52 trophies and a great time was had by all! A big "Congratulations!" on all their acheivements.

Silent Auction and Fund Raising
Due to the loss of the Southwest Grand shoot the TTA relied on event sponsors, program ads, donations, auctions, silent auctions and raffles for the state trophy package to make up for the loss in Daily Fees. A big "Thank you!" goes out to all those who donated and purchased the items!
