Marvin Allbright

Inducted TTA HOF in 2024

Marvin started shooting ATA targets in 1981 registering 600 singles and 600 handicap and has been an ATA Life member since 1982. Since those first ATA targets, Marvin has gone on to accumulate numerous state and ATA awards. When asked by a fellow accomplished shooter about how many 100's he has run, Marvin replied "Darlin, I do not know, I've lost count." If there's a shoot in Texas, you can bet Marvin will be around and shooting his best.

Marvin has many Texas state class and category championship wins, including the 2018 Singles Vet and 2022 Sr Vet Championships. Marvin earned spots on the Texas State Men's First Teams in 2017 and 2018 and was named Captain for the 2019 Veteran Team and 2022 and 2023 Sr Vet Teams.

Marvin's Grand American successes include 2018 Wenig Doubles Third Place Veteran, 2019 Dawson Doubles Runner up Sr-Vet, 2021 Doubles Class Champ Runner up Sr-Vet, 2022 W. August Champion of Champions Runner up Sr-Vet, and the 2023 Class Singles Champ Runner up Sr-Vet.

All American Team placements include 2017-2019 as a Veteran and first or second team 2020-2023 as a Senior Vet. Marvin is currently sitting in a top ten position for the Sr-Vet All American Team in the current ATA year.

Marvin competes at many other shoots and has made Texas proud winning trophies and awards from the Southwestern Grand, Southwest Zone and state shoots in AR, KS, LA, MO, NM, OK - and of course, TEXAS!

With Marvin's target attainment of 79,975 Singles, 62,725 Handicap and 59,400 Doubles, this Texas Life Member has a lot of experience under his cap. Marvin is always willing to help anyone with their shooting, especially our youth. Marvin continues to support the TTA with his continued participation of our zone and state shoots.
