Richard and Joneel Harris

Inducted TTA HOF in 2020

Richard and Joneel are Lifetime Members of the ATA and TTA members since 1997. During that time, they both competed successfully at local, zone, state, regional, and national levels over the years.

Richard completed his shooting career August 4, 2019 when he had a major cardiac event while attending the Grand American in Sparta, IL. He had registered over 153,750 targets before his vision began to fail.

Joneel has registered over 246,300 targets. With Richard's loving support, her most prized accomplishment has been making the Lady II All American 2nd Team for 2018 and the First Team for 2020.

Because of their careers in higher education at the University of North Texas, Joneel and Richard were supporters of the TTA Youth Scholarship Fund. They always recognized shooters they knew who had completed their career with a donation in their memory to support young shooters as they graduated high school and were about to enter college.

Joneel is humbled, as she knows Richard would be, by their nomination and induction into the Texas Trapshooters Association Hall of Fame for 2020.
