Pat Thomason
Inducted TTA HOF in 2020
Pat Thomason started instructing 4-H kids in 1988-1990 in Wichita County. In 1991, along with several others, we began a 4H program in Archer County. This lead to building a shooting complex in Archer County for trap, skeet, rifle, pistol and archery.
I'm most proud of the 34 years spent coaching over 1,000 young shooters teaching them gun safety and sharing my enjoyment of the sport of Trap. Many of these shooters became National and State Champions in their own right.
I started shooting trap in 1988, and am a lifetime member of ATA and the TTA. I have been a Director or Officer of lowa Park Trap Club, from 1992-2020.
In 32 years, I have shot a total 206,900 registered targets, 69,450 Singles, 71,250 Handicap and 66,200 Doubles.
My first of many trophies, both in State and in other States was in 1993 Texas State Handicap Runner-up. Just looking back on all these years and all the trophies I have been lucky enough to win, it seems my favorite events are the Handicaps and the Doubles, as most of the trophies are for those events.
I treasure the many memories of people whom I have shot with and against in my shooting career so far. Now with retirement, looking forward to traveling and attending many more shoots.
